2028 Los Angeles Olympics

Ticket registration for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics opens Wednesday at 7 a.m. PST, and organizers have shared what fans need to know to lock in their chance to attend the Games.

Registration will stay open through March 18 at la28.org. Fans who sign up will be eligible to start buying tickets beginning April 2. The first buying window, running from April 2 to April 6, is set aside for local residents near Olympic venues in Southern California and Oklahoma City. Tickets for the general public will go on sale starting April 9 and continue through April 19.

During registration, fans living in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura, and San Bernardino counties, as well as Oklahoma, Canadian, and Cleveland counties, will enter their ZIP codes to qualify for the local presale. When it’s time to purchase tickets, the billing address must match one of those local ZIP codes.

Starting March 31, registered fans will receive emails letting them know whether they’ve been assigned a ticket-buying time slot through the lottery system. Since ticket releases will roll out over time beginning in April, registering early is encouraged, especially if you’re hoping to attend popular events that may sell out quickly.

Each person can buy up to 12 Olympic tickets. If someone doesn’t use all 12 during their assigned window, they’ll automatically be included in future ticket draws. Registration only needs to be completed once and will also apply to Paralympic tickets, which go on sale in 2027.

Ticket prices are designed to be accessible. Single-event tickets will start at $28, with 1 million tickets across all sports available at that price. About one-third of all tickets will cost less than $100. More detailed pricing information is expected in April.

“These Games belong to everyone,” said LA28 chairman Casey Wasserman during an event at the Coliseum on Tuesday. He emphasized that affordability and inclusion are priorities, particularly for communities in Los Angeles and Oklahoma City where events will be held.

The 2028 Olympics begin on July 14 with a unique dual-venue opening ceremony at both the Coliseum and SoFi Stadium. Events will take place across Southern California, stretching from Los Angeles to Orange County. Long Beach will host the second-highest number of Olympic events after Los Angeles, while Oklahoma City will host softball and canoe slalom competitions.

The Paralympic Games will make their Los Angeles debut on August 15, 2028.
